how do I get rid of extra power supply cables in my case. Can they be removed from within the PSU? I want to reduce the clutter in my case. Thanks,

They can be removed by cutting or desoldering them. However the downsides are fairly odvious:
The number of connectors is reduced
You warrentee is void

be sure to cap them with something 😉

I just get some of that "wire wrap" also called wire loom, and loom all the wires. Gives a neat appearance even if they are not used.

You can also un-solder them, but sometimes this is extremly dificult because all the wires of one color all go to the same spot on the PCB ( all black are together, all red, all yellow, so on )

It is hard to get just the one you want out, but it would be the best way.

The guys in "cases & cooling" would probably know more.
