Hello,
New to the forums, and need help with my new build =)
About 2 years ago (summer 06) I replaced my old system's psu with a PC power & Cooling 610W Silencer. I believe it is still the same one as the one being sold now since the model # is the same. Love this PSU!
Now I am building a new system (waiting for some parts hope it all works):
Gigabyte GA-EX38-DQ6
Q6600 (wanna try and OC to 3.0)
Arctic Freezer 7 pro
Mushkin 2gbx2
EVGA 8800GTS (got it for 200 from a return, hopefully it still works =))
1 x SATA HDD
1 x DVD-RW
I recently just bought a Cooler Master 690 with 550 PSU. My plan was to swap my olds system's psu with the one that came with the cooler master.
I would like to add another Hard drive and a sound card.
Would my PCPower 610W be enough to push the system and handle those two upgrades in the future?
Is it ok to use a 2 year old power supply in a new system?
If not should I just return the case, buy one without a psu, and just grab a totally new psu?
