PSU - 24 Pin Question

I've looked around for the answer to this question, and can't seem to find a solid answer. When searching on Newegg for a PSU, how do I determine the number of pins the MoBo connector has (without looking at the pic and counting the pins)? Any help would be appreciated.

I think you mean ATX12V 2.0 support. ATX 2.0 was the old P4 standard that started the 4-pin 12V plug. The 24-pins can also go by BTX or EPS12V.

Or you can just ignore 24 pin support and buy a 24 pin adapter for nickels.

if you're running a performance system, you should probably invest in a 24-pin PSU. It's gonna be the standard, so if you're buying a new PSU now, you should really get one. They aren't that expensive, aside from generally being higher end models. Some good 24-pin models are the Vantec Stealth VAN-520A (mine, $90 at newegg), The OCZ Modstream 520, Antec (i think they have multiple models of neopower), and enermax. Look for ATX2.0 or EPS12V. If they include a "universal adaptor", like the vantec, that usually means it is a 24-pin model with a 24->20 adaptor.
