PSP Video Disks. Can they be ripped?

With the release of the PSP coming, movies are being made in the PSP format like advent childeren. Are these movies going to be able to be ripped

I doubt it. What would be the point. In order for the movies to fit a UMD, they are going to be lower quality. Just rip the normal DVD. Then you can put it on your memory stick to watch on the PSP.

I saw this, and thought would be interesting for people who want to view movies on their PSP.

You sound like somebody who's still stuck back in 2000. Have you seen any DivX/Xivd encoded videos lately?

Can UMDs be read by CD/DVD drives? If not, then somehow you'll need to hook up the PSP to a computer to rip, I guess.

Why bother cracking them? Not that you can buy blank UMD's anyway.
