there were so many improvements sony could've made to make this thing awesome, but there are still things that drive me crazy!!!

1. The Power Button - gets switched off accidently all the time.
2. The Screen - needs screen protector, and when you have one, it's not a very great picture through it. (i've tried 3 different screen protectors)
3. The Memory Card slot - feels really flimsy, weak.
4. the right analog - feels week, like it is about to fall off.
5. The whole system feels cheap, not sturdy like the last one.

But the games are awesome, before you accidently shut down the system.

so overall, don't upgrade your old psp, but if you're like me and coming from a DS, then you might as well drop the extra 30$ and get a bundle like the battlefront bundle that will come out eventually. the graphics are amazing, and the loading times are a little bit faster than the old one.

thanks for reading

i might try to pick up the old one for cheap...i just wanna run homebrew on it and check out how it works with the ps3.

I guess this is all the more reason to go for an older one.

yeah homebrew on the slim is a pain, you have to get the pandora's battery thing. but on the regular one it isn't too bad.

A modded one that can play PSOne games from the memory stick would be pretty damn cool.

Just because I want to understand what your issue is...

Haven't had this happen yet, how are you holding it for this to happen? I might have hands that are too big to experience this (and I don't play action style games at all so that might effect it)

2. The Screen - needs screen protector, and when you have one, it's not a very great picture through it. (i've tried 3 different screen protectors)

I am using a Pelican Screen protector that keeps the picture quality almost the same as no screen at all. Have you tried that one? Was like 5 bucks at best buy.

3. The Memory Card slot - feels really flimsy, weak.

But its internal? This is the only one I really don't understand. The only time you need the slot open is to replace the card, otherwise it closes up and there is no issue.

4. the right analog - feels week, like it is about to fall off.
I can understand this feeling, it is rather odd feeling. (I'm not afriad of it falling off or anything, but I don't play any games that use it heavily, IE Tactical Games for the Camera)

5. The whole system feels cheap, not sturdy like the last one.

I don't feel the same way and like how nice and light the system is.

But the games are awesome, before you accidently shut down the system.

I agree, unless there is a feature that you really want in the new one (I went from no PSP to PSP because I can do TV out with it.) the old one is about the same. Although load times are better from what I am hearing.

Also the bundles come with a 1gb mem stick which helps justify the cost a bit. (Only reason I got the bundle, and I get to have a white/silver one instead of black)
