Good morning,

I was hoping you guys could help me out with my PSP. I have a regular PSP that I have had for about a year now (purchased brand new). I had heard about the PSP homebrew system, but never looked into it. I just updated the firmware lastnight to Sony's latest firmware (PSP firmware 4.00/4.01 ) and then discovered what the HomeBrew can do (allow me to backup my games to files and play them directly on my PSP through my memory stick (2gb). I get tired of carrying my games around with me and would LOVE to put them in a file format and put them on my memory stick. HELP! How can I do this? What else can you do?

Any help on how to get started and what I would need to do would be greatly appreciated!

Ok....so I go to that site, click on Forums and get this:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/pspspot/public_html/forums/sources/ipsclass.php on line 5643

Anything else?

I always love it when people come in here and try to justify piracy to get assistance.

I understand that you "can" download games, but I don't. Believe it or not....I don't care.

I simply dont want to carry my games around and this would make it a lot easier for my to have the games on my PSP when I am traveling.

I've not homebrewed a PSP, but the first step I believe is to unlock the system - do a search for Pandora's Battery - that should get you going in the right direction.

There are many LEGAL things you can do with a modded PSP. Playing your own games off a memory stick would certainly seem like fair use to me. Plus, it saves you on battery life.
