PSP GO Dropped to $150?

Go still isn't worth paying $20 extra over the 3000 to give up used games, sale/closeout games and UMD-only games. It does less but costs more.

Used PSP Go's go for ~$100-110 on ebay right now. I'm contemplating getting one mostly for the form factor. I don't really care about the lack of UMDs, and at $100 it'll be a nice portable device to play the PS1 games I've bought on PSN.

No. peritusONE stated the PSP 3000 is not the same as the PSP Go (which is correct), and your reply was "Eh...WRONG!"

Sorry, I don't understand random *** symbol language.

PSP 3000 != PSP Go

The PSP Go dropping to $150 is new news.

I read the PSPGo drop somewhere on March 2nd, can't find the exactly link. Which is why i said old news...

P.s. I never said the PSPgo was the PSP-3000

2 days from my original post is considered old? Now I see where we disagree...

First, you made the post yesterday.

Second, again, i read it 2 days before the OP made the thread, which in my book, makes it old news.

Sorry that i get text alerts too quickly.

I know I made the post yesterday, on the 4th. You said you read the news on the 2nd. Sorry that you think 2 days makes anything "old news". In internet land, it's only considered "old news" if it has already been posted by someone else or the news isn't relevant anymore. Neither apply here.

I'm pretty sure the internet's purpose is to make today's news today's news and then news of yesterday old news, otherwise, we'd still be sending letters by horse wagon.

Whatever you say good buddy. 10-4

15 minutes until midnight, barely getting this one in under the wire so it's not old news:

http://www.engadget.com/2011/03/05/psp-go-price-cut-quietly-slinks-away-now-priced-at-original-20/

When Sony hacked $50 from the PSP Go's price earlier this week, it didn't exactly trumpet the news, and now it's looking like a permanent $150 MSRP for the UMD-less handheld was too good to be true. Text across Sony's website has silently been changed to reflect a $199.99 price point for both colors of the sliding-screen system, and there seems to be no remaining evidence that Sony ever dropped the price at all. Still, we imagine it's only a matter of time before such a price cut becomes officially official, as the PSP-3000's the no-brainer choice if you're buying a PSP right now -- it's a full $70 cheaper than the less-capable Go.

It's the price it should have been initially released at. No UMD support, not even a solution to install your physcial games on a PSPGo?? Fuck that noise. I am not rebuying my PSP games for the PSPGo.

Granted, piracy is a big issue, but screwing over a paying customer can be much worse.
