PSP Battery Needed!

So my original PSP Fat aka PSP1000's battery bit the dust and I need to get a new one. I went to best buy today and they only had batteries for the 2000 model. Where can I get a battery for my PSP FAT - which model? I know they have the 1800 and 3600 and I think I've seen a 2200 version using a google search.

Help please!!

When I had the original PSP it was able to support 1800 and 2200mAh. I'd get the 2200, but make sure it is from Sony though. Seems to be tough to find though.

I'd get the PSP extended life battery. Unfortunately, it sounds like Sony discontinued it. But, it may be making a comeback because of the PSP-3000 being more power hungry.

Yep, extended is coming back in a month or so.

do I need to buy a bigger battery cover for the 2200? Reading from that site it seems to be the case. If I found a 2200 where would I buy the cover or is it included in the box?

The PSP-3000 is the new hardware revision of the PSP coming in a couple of months. Major change is the quality of the LCD screen.

I wouldn't get the extended battery, the bulge doesn't look so good, and would make the PSP not fit in the logitech hard shell. What I would do is buy an extra battery and charge that up and bring it w/ me if I'm going on some long trip.
