Pathetic doesn't even begin to describe it...

It's pretty bad, but I'm still gonna get one...I'm a total N-fanboi on one hand, but a gadget freak on the other. I'm so torn :p

I can see why..the PSP looks a variatable swiss army knife while the DS looks like N64 and the beginnings of Gamecube again...nothing but games but fun as hell....

Video on the PSP is definitely a plus though

How many of you are going to be playing network games via WiFi with the screen and volume at full capacity?

It looks like the real-life usage without WiFi falls somewhere between 3.5-5 hours. To me, that is PLENTY of time.

3 hours? I'll take it at a $200 pricetag. I guess I can then buy the $100 extra long storage battery when it's released 2 months after. :D

I don't quite think I'll play a handheld for 3 hours straight, so it'll be no problem for me. Can't wait till they get here!

The gaming time will be enough for me. Longer is better but that is that.

I might pick up a spare battery if I'm gaming that much.

BUT what is more interesting is if you can play it on a bigger screen like a normal tv with an adapter so metime? That would be cool :D. I know the quality will be MUCH less when the image is bown up to a 32-50 tv :p

I hope there'll be a higher-capacity battery available soon.

EDIT: Does anybody know what the mass of the standard 3.6V 1800mAh PSP battery is?

What's the big deal? Just connect it to the charger after youve finished playing and when you want to play again it is charged???????

I don't have issues with the battery life either. Most of the time, it'll be played at home on odd occasions. Like others say, either I'll get me an adapter or an extra battery piece.

The Nintendo DS looks like a brick and the two separate displays are a turn down for me compared to the larger single display on the PSP.

I'm getting the PSP when it comes out.

Still beats my Axim while using wifi at near full brightness, but I can always throw in another battery.

People are bitching about 2.75 hours (will most likely be more than 4 hours when the volume is turned down to a normal a level and you are not using the wifi)?

Yes seriously, maybe people should look at the other tests. WiFi wasn't the only test done you know.

OP has a nice non-misleading thread title.

SCREEN: Full brightness
AUDIO: Headphones, full volume
WIFI: OFF
UMD: Frequent
MEMORY STICK: No use

FINAL RESULTS:
5 hours, 9 minutes
