So, I have a PS3 and am considering getting a PSP, but the major things holding me back are the really crummy browser (you know, it wasn't an issue before June 29, 2007. Mobile browsers could be slow and crappy back then, but not anymore), and the lack of additional interoperabilitiy between the PS3 and the PSP. I know about Remote Play, and that is cool I guess except very, very few games support it, and I can't get streaming to work to my PS3 very well anyway.

I mean, are there things that I am missing? Are there other cool things one can do if they have both?

Also, is there a way to put a new browser onto the PSP? Something like Opera, mobile Firefox, or mobile Safari? I don't need tabs, just want speed, and the PSP lacks that.

You're not really missing anything. Remote Play is sorta under-developed, which is unfortunate given its potential.

As for a new browser... I think there's a way to get the NetFront Java browser on there, if you've got it cracked.

The only things i've been able to do is if i downloaded a ps1 or put in a ps1 disc i can stream it and play it on the psp. Also i Can stream media from the ps3 to the psp as long as I'm connected to the internet. Other than that....dont think there is much more to do.

Remote Play is sorely under-developed as erwos said. There are vary few games that support it. Pixel Junk Eden is one but I find that the video isn't downscaled properly and look blurry on the PSP. It's a bit gimmicky, which is unfortunate. The only feature I've ever really used it for is as a remote control for the music on my PS3.
