I've got a White PSP-2000 (star wars) and a Silver PSP-3000. the 2000 has CFW flashed, whereas the 3000 still needs the tiff exploit to enable unsigned code, so both can run homebrew.

Having both was fun, but one's gotta go. I'm torn;

2000 pros
- flashed to CFW

2000 cons
- older

3000 pros
- very nice color gamut/saturation. makes the 2000 look washed out.

3000 cons
- have to reenable hack if system shuts down unexpectedly
- the interlacing is noticeable to my eyes, doesn't bother me too much...

Which one would you keep?

Well, if your reason for a PSP is strictly homebrew (for whatever reason - I use the term "homebrew" loosely here) - the 2000 is and always shall be your preferred choice as it is one of the hackable kinds. Physically, aside from the screen and the firmware issues, the 2000 and 3000 are pretty much the same (the 3000 being slightly lighter?).

Now, the big deal - if you want the PlayStation store, then the 3000 is a better bet, as Sony will be using that as it's tool to combat CFW (they've already blackballed CFW PSP's, particularly m33 as it hasn't been updated in some time, and GEN is considered buggy/unstable/not homebrew friendly).

My personal choice, I'm keeping my 1000 because of m33. I'd consider a firmware CFW-able 2000 like yours in a heartbeat.
