I don't see the conspiracy.

Besides, the review posted by the guy wasn't very glamorous. According to it, the gains were extremely minimal at best, and not worth the $250+ price tag.

BTW, since when did you become Anand's bodyguard?

Just glanced over the public-facing code for registration; there's nothing that strikes me as obvious that would allow "hacking" of a registration date.

The typical procedure to log registration date is to hardcore writing the "now" date/time stamp into the registration date field. It is not something that can be hacked.

In short, it is 99% likely you have no idea what you're talking about. :p
