No demos this week for the US, although UK got The Darkness demo. Rumor is The Darkness and perhaps Heavenly Sword next week.

How is Castlevania: SOTN? I heard really good things about it.

SOTN is arguably the best of the series. I loved it.

SotN is one of my favorite games of all time. I'm sorely tempted to buy it for the PS3... but I already have it for Live, so I'll likely pass. For those that have a PSP, keep in mind that SotN will also be on the upcoming Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles. I almost bought SotN on the PS3 so I could play it on my PSP until I remembered it was coming soon anyway.

It's just a dump of the PS1 game. You should be able to upscale it though.

I have a feeling this will be a trend on the PS3, although not necessarily a bad thing. It makes a large library of games readily available to port onto the PSN.

I wouldn't call that a trend, it's what they've been doing all along. The US store hasn't gotten many 3rd party games yet, but the JP store already has many.

The bad trend that may start is paying a premium for the "big" games. This is the first one to be priced at $9.99.

oh i see. it would be awesome if there was a way that sony would let you rip your ps1 games to your ps3 and then transfer them to the psp. i'm sure they'd want to DRM the fuck out of the game but it would be neat to be able to do that straight up, w/o the homebrew stuff.
