Sounds to me like they're ready to beat down some sense into CFW and hackers!

A whole network composed of millions of systems doesn't go down for 11hrs for no reason...sounds to me like they're implementing security features to keep the pest out.
 
Not really, it went down back in June for the same amount of time and there was no jailbreak or anything back then. The amount of time really isn't indicative of anything. There's a high probably its to patch of any holes cfw/hackers use but that can be said with all firmware update since the release of jailbreak and all future down times.
