You ever had a offending proccess that you wanted to kill?

Not just kill, killall or even kill -KILL?

But something worse, something gratifying, something that you can actually see die and watch it bleed on the floor?

well heres your chance



Thought it was funny as all get out. Plus the idea of proccesses actually fighting to the death over system resources seems like a very cool alternative to the infamous OOM killer in the linux kernel.

I first saw this on /. a few years ago. Kept meaning to try it. Definitely an interresting, if useless idea. 😀

October, 1999? Time to update it to at least Quake 3.

But why don't some of the linux gurus turn this into another game y'all would enjoy. Linux gamers would work their way though 15 levels evicerating Windows programming dweebs, and smashing their CRTS, until at the final level you could watch as Bill's brains spatter all over the walls while you pump 1000 depleted uranium rounds from your rail-gun into his slowly dissolving head.

Rather then the whole bill gates blowing up thing (which somebody already probably created) I would like to see this idea expanded.

You could create a file manager using this. You could have different "weapons" used a different system tools. Also a command line would be aviable at the bottom, and the movements of the character would automaticly match those of your command lines, well as closely as possible.

You could make it completely abstract or something so that people have something nice/entertaining to look at as you do your cli/gui/3d-psuedo-doom thing.
