PSAT Score in 2002 To Get National Merit Scholarship?

As in the highest rank you can on the PSAT, National Merit Scholar. I think it's like 0.65% of everyone who takes it gets that. Anyone know what the cut-off score for that was in 2002?

It's state-by-state. In Alabama this year it was 208. (I got 209. w00t.)

no i'm talkin about the real elite one. not national merit semi-finalist or finalist. the final level: National Merit Scholar. the one where they give you a $2000 scholarship and colleges will give you way more

I dunno, and I don't remember PSAT scaling. I remember it was the equivalent of 1550.

I think it depends on the quality of the essays and qualifications that you have to turn in if you're a semi-finalist...
