I probably won't spring for it unless it's revolutionary...

Aside from the obvious hardware upgrades, I'm just hearing of multimedia enhancements... and xbox modders already have that.

Unless Xbox2 can be made to play SNES Super Mario Kart, it's not worth it to me. 😉

Super Mario Kart > Halo 2

One nice "enhancement" will be that there will be much better support for HD. This will come in the form of an HD-DVD capable drive(I can't see MS pushing Blu-Ray with their console) but it will also come in the form of much wider support for HD gaming.

I think that will be one of the principal reasons to switch over to next-gen consoles. If you've got an HDTV you will be much happier with the next-gen consoles since they have enough muscle to push games in HD whereas current-gen support is not that great.

I have been playing games in HD and it's not a jump-out-of-your-seat difference, IMHO. Maybe they will actually have the higher res HD and it'll actually look like HDTV-wow.

I have heard XBox 2 in 2005 for awhile now, I guess we will see at E3.

I doubt I'll buy one at launch, if I ever do.

I think that HD games on current consoles are just upsampled versions of the lower version game. The console isn't actually rendering more pixels AFAIK (I may be completely wrong about this).
