PSA: When you park in someone else's driveway, don't block it all

I start to go to the gym after lunch, and found this at the end of my driveway:

Now I get to (A) go door to door to find out who's truck this is or (B) drive over my sprinkler heads to get out. You could ask permission to use my driveway, you could park on the many open street spots, you could have at least taken only half of the driveway.

But no, you had to park in the damn center of someone else's driveway.

Update: 20 minutes later it was gone.

Completely unacceptable to park in someone else's driveway if you have no business being there. I'd call and have it towed.

Idiots.
So anyway, that looks like some nice abandoned property that's sitting on your property. :hmm: Yup, that's what happened, officer. I thought this was the truck that I had bought on Craigslist.

And what, no license plate in the photo? :awe:

And have the police there for when the guy goes to break your windows or start shooting up the place, depending on what sort of fine individual you're dealing with.

I'd rather people not know where I live. The license plate would narrow that down pretty easily.

In this city, the person calling the tow truck pays first. If there is a vehicle to tow, then the vehicle's driver pays the towing fee. If that truck leaves before the tow truck arrives, I'm out $75.

Assuming the driver's from that area.

If you put up a post (somewhere that allowed that sort of thing) that said "Idiot parked in my driveway. Need $75 to to his ass away," you'd end up with enough money to buy a used car.

Break the window, put in neutral (even an automatic without the key has a release you can depress) push out into the white truck across the street.

You want to get special, tear the wires out from the ignition and call the police about a hit and run accident in what appears to be a stolen truck. Mention the broken window and dangling wires.

Disconnect the driveshaft(use a hack/cutoff saw), and push it in the road.

I like the idea of sabotage as well.

Climb under and yank as many wires as possible and/or clip the plugs off.
Crimp and cut hoses. Maybe some discrete holes drilled here and there.

Sooooo, Rhode Island. :sneaky:

Seriously, if that happened to me I would be livid. It's unfortunate that it isn't legal to destroy his vehicle, but you should definitely get it towed.

I'd have it towed. And while waiting for the tow truck to arrive I'd open up the pickups door and start watering my lawn. With very very poor aim.

Does everyone drive a full-size pickup truck in your neighborhood?

lulz... Amateur.

Our dipshit neighbor used to park on our front lawn and walkway. There was so little room the driver had to crawl out the window. We didn't have a driveway...
