One of the "trick" questions led to the offer.
There is a candy dish in each interview room. One manager likes to ask candidates, "Without using your hands, how would you get that candy dish off the table."
Said candidate's response was (in a husky voice), "Well, I would use my mouth. Or other body parts. I'll let you use your imagination..." and it went on from there. We were stunned.
So what is the "right" answer?
There really isn't one. It's all about thinking about a brand new problem without having any time to prepare. The thought process and the way the problem is solved is what we're looking for.
How would you respond if I said "I'd ask you to pick it up for me"?![]()
