Was adding a Hard Drive to my micro-Atx case and moving stuff around. Finnaly finished and booted the sucker up. Worked fine until about 5 min...then magically *bam* shut down....wtf? Virus? Boot back up...5 min later, *bam* shut down. WTF!! So i take a look....one of the IDE cables was just barely blocking the CPU Fan.... I felt the heatsink and sure enough...burned myself  Wow that was close. I checked the BIOS and it said the CPU was at 110 C!!!....not good....so remember...check your cables for fan blockage!!

I have a case fan mounted and blowing diagonally across my HSF. Lowered my temps quite a bit.

what CPU are you running? 110C is waaaaay too hot for any CPU. surprised it survived those temps

No worries, midtower = more room.

and also = more desk space...something that is very limited in a dorm room

hey, I just put mine on the side of my desk. No problems, I still have plenty of room :).

you can hang it off the metal grates of your power supply... you can sorta see what I've done with it here.

You are crazy about dorm room space. I'm in a dorm and have a CM Stacker, water cooled.

last time I checked mid-tower and small tower, etc, all had the same width, just different height... so if it is on the ground UNDER your desk, which is where it would be to maximize space, it wouldnt matter

quit makking up lies!!! you just wanted the my little pony case and it only came in the small size, aDMIT IT

lol exactly. All you need is a twist-tie and temps will plummet.

Well, I wouldn't need that if I bought a nice P180 :D. Why's your case open BTW, your cooling looks sufficient.

I put the cover on and it goes up by almost 10C... seriously. I don't have a front or rear case fan in there... and when I did, they were useless even with the cover on.
