4:46: I get out of the car. I am INSIDE of a donut shop. With the car. Shattered glass crunches under my feet as I investigate the damage. There are broken and fractured tables scattered all across the store. The car has only a few scratches. I am in shock and completely unsure about what to do. I am have never driven a car into a store before.

I don't care that his stories are made up. I never thought any of them were true. That's not the point. The point is they're great stories.

Lighten up, ATOT. He's crafted his own brand of humor and if you don't like it, you can always just ignore it.

I worked in Palo Alto a couple blocks from the law firm where he was a summer associate. I got all kinds of stories at the time about this crazy "Tucker Max" guy from people I knew who worked with him. Many lulz were had. Then he left his summer job and disappeared. Then all of a sudden he came out with a book. More lulz.

Sure, it wasn't firsthand knowledge. But when multiple people I know tell me crazy stories about what some guy is up to well before he writes about them on his web site or writes a book, I gotta think some of them are true.

I don't doubt the guy is as crazy as his stories suggest but I'd be surprised if they were all 100% truthful. Think about the lies and exaggerations that you insert into your own stories on a daily basis. Now imagine if you posting those on the internet, you'd probably put things in the best light.

On the radio is when he got busted. They gave him ample time to prove any aspect of the Absinthe Donuts story, and he couldn't. No witnesses, no police report, nothing. He saves everything he's ever done, but he doesn't even know where to find the police report for when he drove his car through a window?

Also, on the forums of his site, he would personally monitor the discussions and delete anything disparaging that was said, and especially anything that called into question the veracity of his stories. Go ahead and make your own account there and post something that even questions whether all his stories are true, and see how long it survives.

Sorry, but some toolbag hovering over his computer stamping his little feet and throwing a hissy fit every time someone says something he doesn't like isn't my idea of a god. He's a whiny douchebag who's had some success with the ladies due to being a rich (only due to his parents) spoiled,admittedly fairly attractive brat and has blown that up into this fictional, idealized life he claims to lead.
