Even when you are parking your bike for maintenance 😉

I went out for a short ride to warm up the drive chain for cleaning, and when I came back to park my bike it was dark, so I rolled up next to the lights on the house, which required a fairly sharp right turn.

well i turned too much and lost balance on the bike. it tipped over but never touched the ground. hit the kill switch, stood the bike back up asap to restart the engine and get oil pressure back. i only lost a little bit of coolant.

point being, always stay focused! 😛

Yeah. Quite often it's the dumb little things.

Took my bike out for a spin the afternoon of July 4th. My parents have a big party with all my extended family there, and when I pulled onto the driveway, my uncle and his kids and grandkid were walking up to the house. They don't know I ride so they all stopped to look who was inside the helmet, and my cousin (the grandkid, about 7 or 8) got kind of excited to see the motorcycle. I was distracted by waving to them and lifting my visor to say hello, and forgot to put the side-stand down before I let it lean.

As soon as my weight was off the bike, it fell onto my left leg. I jumped out of the way, but had no where to land, so I teetered and then fell on my back, kind of bent over on top of my bike, which was now spilling gas out of the carbs.

I wasn't hurt, and the bike wasn't damaged, but it was a hell of a way to say hello to the relatives. It was also the only time I've ever dropped my bike. Good that you're not hurt...be happy there was no one around to see it!

Yes stay focused. The family and I went downtown this evening and passed on the way home a fatal 1 bike 1 car crash. It was horrible....

We literally drove up before the first responders got there. Wife is still shaken up.

So yes be safe out there
