[Start= long unintelligible rant]
I drive the city buses I am on the outskirts of the area I serve therefore they send the smaller Vehicles (Basically it's a Ford E-450 Cutaway van with a bus chassis) and I was recently assigned a "New" Vehicle and it has the Ford 6.0L Diesel engine and Basically I hate the damn thing it is so slow compared to the older International 7.3L engine that my older bus had. Damn Ford and there discontinuing the Good Diesel engine. I have also noticed most of the other public service buses (Wheelchair and the like) are now using the V8 Gasoline engines does that mean the Diesel engines like these are going to go By-By?
My "New" bus is a 2006 with about 125,000 on the Odometer and the "Old" one that they finally retired is a 1997 with about 362,000 on the odometer I know the old bus had alot of miles and was on the second engine but the older Ford diesels were basically indestructible (All they asked for is Fuel, Oil, and tires , and the occasional Oil change). Oh and damn new technology all city vehicles now have a GPS System telling me where to go and how long to be there for. No more stops to a local fast food place on my Lunch break (Not that it was out of the way of my route). Basically I am hating the newer buses and they got rid of my Radio (The old vehicle had an FM/AM radio which I used a crappy FM Transmitter to listen to my MP3 player)
[/End Long Rant of how I now hate my Job and how things are going in life]
