PSA: Spectral Force 3

It's actually pretty old, IIRC - came out closer to launch in Japan. Not sure what made them decide that this was worth porting. That said, the more the merrier!

Atlus is pumping out SRPGs for the 360 in North America. They've got this, Operation Darkness, and Zoids: Assault.

Kind of sad for Sony that the 360 keeps moving farther ahead of the PS3 in the number of native JRPGs (ignoring the PS1/PS2 mountain of them).

Fine for me though. Once I can get a Jasper 360 and the Fall update to play from HD, my unplayed stack will gain whole a new section of 360 games to join the PC, PS2 and PS3 titles.

I might never have time to play them all, but I can gaze at the boxes now and then 🙂

Well in all Fairness the PS3 is getting Disgaea 3 mid August and Disgaea is the grand daddy of SRPG's. I've played all the ones Atlus put out on the PS2 and Disgaea 1/2 were simply the best.

Disgaea 3 is definitely a fantastic game. NIS and Level 5 are probably the only two developers keeping me from regretting that PS3 purchase.

I love Disgaea 1 and I'm still working on getting my Divine Majin to 9,999 but seriously I don't really care about Disgaea 3. Disgaea 2 was just ok and although graphics don't really matter to me on SRPG it looks like it belongs on the PS2.

check out the screens for spectral force, it looks a bit more next-gen.

Yeah I've been looking at some screens. I love me some srpg and it looks good but I need to see more reactions before I buy.

ign just gave this a 4.9 and whined a lot about the graphics and sound. seemed like a pretty poor review. i might wait a bit before picking this one up.

has anyone picked this up yet and can comment?
