My dad and some of my buddies were having issues today with SBC turns out that they chopped an optical wire. OOPS!

"Connecticut customers who use SBC Communications to reach the Internet were cut off from the World Wide Web Monday morning when a fiber optic line was cut, the company said.

"We are aware that we have a fiber cut or dig up," Beverly Levy, the SBC spokeswoman said.

Levy said the outage had cut service to customers who used SBC Dial-up or the DSL broadband service"
