Now, is he jupimg the WIDHT of the Intrepid, or the entire length? it's got to be the width, which is still pretty ballsy, but jumping the length would be fvcking CRAZY!

On my carrier we had a guy walk into the exhaust of a F14, while it was on the catapult a second before launch while it was in zone 5 afterburner, 2000 degree flames coming out at 3000MPH. He was blasted into the JBD (jet blast deflector) and his corpse flew over the remailing 200 yards of flightdeck to land in the drink. They think it was sucide.

Why is it useless? Call me sadistic, but I found it funny.

Hmm. I remember a video of some guy on deck getting sucked *into* an engine. Heard it's supposed to be the most hazardous job there is, working on a carrier flight deck

Robbie Knievel makes another big motorcycle jump

NEW YORK Motorcycle daredevil Robbie Knievel has done it again -- successfully clearing seven military aircraft on the deck of a former U-S aircraft carrier.

The son of motorcycle legend Evel Knievel completed the jump on the the U-S-S Intrepid, a former aircraft carrier docked in New York Harbour.

The ship saw service during World War Two, the Cold War, and the Vietnam War and is now one of the largest maritime museums in the world.

The Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum is located on New York's Pier 86, along with the submarine U-S-S Growler and a British Airways Concorde.

Knievel says he had wanted to dedicate the jump to firefighters, police officers and military officials ever since Nine-Eleven.
