Perhaps a repost as it is a few months old, but I couldn't find anything with search.

I know we have some PPK and PPK/S owners here, and I wanted to pass this information along in case you weren't already aware. I ran across this while checking out some other stuff, but apparently there was a recall issued for ALL Walther PPK and PPK/S pistols manufactured by Smith & Wesson from March 21, 2002, until February 3, 2009. Affected Serial Number groups are included in the link below, as are instructions for getting repair service.

Holy shit! That's a pretty severe flaw. I wonder if this hazard resulted in any deaths.

The gun manufacturers are such whores. S&W making Walther PPK's, Walther making Colt AR-22's, the list goes on and on.

I'm not very fond of Walther. The P22 is nice in concept but is terribly unreliable.

For real. "A round may discharge without trigger being pulled".

I'd call that pretty freaking serious.

That's the way guns have been for most of the time there have been guns...

It didn't seem to be such a big problem in the past... :D

People either knew how to handle guns, or they didn't... :D
