Effing LeningradLindsey.

Good for them, Did they show the one where MoscowMitch essentially, said we need to
investigate "ascertaining the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the unqualified, unevasive truth is absolutely critical."

“Our nation is indeed at a crossroads. Will we pursue the search for truth or will we dodge, weave and evade the truth? I am of course referring to the investigation into serious allegations of illegal conduct by the president of the United States — that the president has engaged in a persistent pattern and practice of obstruction of justice. The allegations are grave, the investigation is legitimate and ascertaining the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the unqualified, unevasive truth is absolutely critical.”

lol run Ms Lindsey run.

When your own words show you to be a hypocritical piece of shit, reacting to it like a coward is a nice follow up. Very republican.

This whole thing, it's like watching Mike Tyson in his prime beating the absolute piss out of a 100lb teen wearing gloves for the first time. And Moscow Mitch is going to hand it to the teen. So much for American exceptionalism, courtesy of Team Treason.

Not sure how sincere this quote really is. Sen. Kennedy is a proven POS liar and is likely to not mean a word of this 5 minutes later. But for the moment, he speaks truth:

“I’ve learned a lot. Everybody has. Senators didn’t know the case,” Kennedy admitted. “They really didn’t.”
...
[referencing the House proceedings] “We didn’t stay glued to the television. We haven’t read the transcripts,” he explained.

“Those of you who have sat through a trial before know that there are peaks and valleys. A trial is a narrative. It’s a story and to really evaluate the consequences of the story you have to get the story,” he added.

That's a paddlin'

Also, as if your thing isn't weird enough, I saw another headline about Gaetz of all people complimenting the Democrats presentation and mocking the Trump defense. Only reasonable explanation I can come up with is that I've somehow been transported to an alternate universe.

Are some of them starting to get it?

The body language and behavior of people like Rand Paul make me doubt it.

Maybe, if Kennedy is to be believed they might have been straight ignoring everything until now, and they might roast Trump on a spit. Depends a lot on how the questioning phase goes, I'm withholding judgement until then.

I said appearance of a possible conflict of interest. Not that there was one. As you correctly point out, looking into it clearly indicates if anything he was putting his son in more risk.
Didn’t his son start working there after that went down?

I think he was already working there when Ukraine was pressured to dump their corrupt corruption fighting guy.

Regardless, you don't get rid of the corrupt guy and replace him with someone on the level if you're trying to do corrupt stuff.

Senator Lindsey Graham shook Schiff’s hand late today and congratulated him, one prosecutor to another, on a job well done.

Right wing Twitter is going apeshit on Graham right now...whole lotta chuds spewing venom and vitriol at Graham.

They should calm down. His comments read like he appreciates the skill of building the argument not that he agrees at all with the argument.

I know that. You know that. Graham hasn’t changed his mind and will vote to acquit Trump. But the brainless chuds see a Republican respecting a Democrat and they can’t have it.

What next?

Well, the house will wrap up their side with having made extremely good, accurate, on-target summary explaining exactly how this Trump corruption started, continued, and is still continuing today. Facts will be facts. And the facts are on their side.

THEN, we have the republicans turn.
Trump lawyers will TOTALLY IGNORE EVERYTHING that the house has proven. Republican lawyers will not address one single fact proven by the house. Instead.... republican lawyers will simply respond with terms like RIDICULOUS, OUTRAGEOUS, AMAZING, CRAZY and INSANE. Then, attack not the proven facts of corruption but only attack the process. Also, republican lawyers will add into those attacks the names of Hillary, Obama, Joe Biden and Hunter Biden. And undoubtedly names such as Nadler, Schiff, and Pelosi.

The entire rebuttal by Trump lawyers will take maybe a few hours at most because... Trump lawyers will claim the house has no case.
Then, Mitch McConnell will move to dismiss the entire case.
And senate republicans will do just that with a full republican majority vote.
And those republican defectors? We will have none. Not a single one.

Donald Trump will get away with murder.
Then, Donald Trump will continue blackmailing foreign leaders for more poop on the Biden's.
Right up to election day November 2020.
And do not be surprised, with knowing how petty and thinned skinned Donald Trump is, if Trump then instructs his people to go after Hillary Clinton and president Obama. In Trump's mind, to go after Hillary and Obama the same way democrats went after him.
In other words, THERE WILL BE TRUMP PAYBACK. Or an attempt at it.
That will begin immediately after the senate exonerates Donald Trump.

On the plus side, this will give democrats a whole new batch of Trump wrongdoing to re-impeach the re-elected Donald Trump in 2021.
Donald Trump got away with stealing those cookies from the cookie jar this time, but mom has left the kitchen and fat little Donald STILL WANTS THOSE COOKIES!!!

Another bit of praise from some I didnt expect.
GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz praised Democrats' impeachment presentation and skewered Trump's defense as looking like 'an 8th-grade book report'

Meanwhile, the defense team's case looked like "an eighth-grade book report," Gaetz told Politico. "Actually, no, I take that back," he said, adding that an eighth-grader would know how to use PowerPoint and iPads.

A far cry from his witness intimidation just a short time ago. Seems the rats maybe feel like the ship is leaning and jumping off is a possibility.

Based on people waslking out of the room for long peroids of time, reading books, doing crossword puzzles I also doubt it.

That kunt Marsha Blackburn trashed the service of Lt. Col. Vindman on twitter yesterday.
