Ds should call Rs bluff and let them subpeona Hunter if they can call Lev and Bolton.

Don't act afraid. Play to win

The GOP has absolutely no intention of having Hunter Biden testify. It's mind fuck for their base. Just because Ukraine wouldn't play into the scheme doesn't mean they won't play it anyway.

They are soooo screwed up.
With taking into account the statements republicans like McConnell and little Lindsey Graham have said in the past during the Bill Clinton thing but now what they say during this Trump thing amounts to doing a 180.
Damn hypocrites.
Hey republicans.... Joe Biden is not on trial. Hunter Biden is not on trial.
And for republicans to use this impeachment hearing only to justify Trump's original sin at going after the Biden's is not going to work. People see right thru that.

And for what?
So Republicans can put Hunter Biden on the stand in hopes of uncovering some poop, then republicans can say... SEE, TRUMP WAS JUSTIFIED IN BLACKMAILING UKRAINE AFTER ALL.
Putting the spotlight on Biden and then allowing Donald Trump to get away with murder.
So SO screwed up are these republicans..... All of them.
It's a wonder we even have an America. And I'm not so sure we really do.
THIS America we live in obviously is nothing like that America the founding fathers created.
So then.... what exactly is it that we do have?
Because.... it sure isn't the America originally envisioned.
So lets just stop calling America, America or calling it something it is not.
Instead, lets call America "Putinmerica". Add that to your spell-check library.

Yeah..what a murderer's row we have in the new additions to Trump's dream legal team.

Allen Dershowitz - who luckily 'kept his underwear on' for all those massages with Jeffery Epstein. Did a heckuva job leading Epstein's defense. Epstein was never found guilty. So he's got that going for him.

Ken Starr - who called White House window washers and a dentist in for questioning in the Clinton affair. The same guy is now saying no new material witnesses should be allowed. Added bonus - Baylor rape coverup, and of course, another attorney for Jeffery Epstein.

Pamela Bondi - infamous for being the Fla. AG who dismissed the case against the fraudulent Trump University, shortly after receiving 25k from Trump's fraudulent charitable foundation. Buddy of Lev Parnas, because why not.

Robert Ray - took over the various investigations of Clinton from Ken Starr. Arrested in 2006 for stalking a former companion.

The crime syndicate is closing ranks, as expected. Seems like a reputation-laundering operation to me. Senate republicans abdicate their duty and cancel the impeachment, and these dirtbags are rehabilitated as defenders of justice.
Honestly how the hell is dershowitz still on Harvard's faculty? The guy is dirty as they come.

To me his representatives read like a sequel to the movie inside out where each lawyer represents individual trump personalities.

You got Allen who represents trump the sexual deviant.

Start who represents trump’s shame.

Pam who represents trump the grifter/fraudster.

Ray who represents trump the creep.

"I'm not happy seeing Richard Nixon's gang being tried by blacks and liberals in the District of Columbia." - Alan Dershowtiz's (Courier Post, New Jersey, November 21, 1974)

"Based on the demographic criteria, the age of consent should be lowered. It certainly should not be as high as 17 or 16. Reasonable can disagree over whether it should be as low as 14. Fifteen would seem like an appropriate compromise." Alan Dershowtiz (Los Angeles Times, May 7, 1997)

Sounds like this will wrap by Friday. Disgraceful. Banana Republic, here we come

This is an important moment to remember just who is on trial. President Trump is obviously guilty. The President’s trial briefs concede as much. It’s always been Senate Republicans who are on trial. We shall see if the Senate Republicans will back his law breaking behavior.

Epstien BFF Dersh all over TV saying that what he said in the 90s wasn't wrong just that he's "more correct" now and he's on an impeachment defense team with Ken Starr who was canned from his university gig for covering up sex assaults.

What curse brought forth the worst garbage people of the 90s to come back and torture us?

The current president is a corrupt moron who won’t follow your legal advice, which will make you as his lawyer appear ineffective or incompetent, and probably will try to stiff you on the bill.

Since he can’t get any actually good legal representation he’s left with grifters and TV personalities. It’s the same reason why he can’t get any quality people to staff the government. If you have actual skills and reputation why demolish them for a few months of power?

As Trump is obviously, comically guilty here the only questions to be answered are:

1) if you think it’s okay for the president to use his powers of office to get foreign powers to help him win elections.

2) if you think it’s okay for the president to prevent congress from investigating his corruption.

Those are the two things Republicans in the Senate are going to say they think are okay, which I guess raises a third question - are you okay with people representing you who think that?

One of the greatest ironies is that Trump's "free" lawyer is who got him impeached.

I think we already know the answer to this from republican stooges. FYGM

I don't know a single Dem/liberal who would accept this behavior from a president/party they voted for. Shows how morally bankrupt republicans are.

So, right now, your rule of law and the highest office in the US is getting raped. Have I understood that correctly?

Raped is a strong term. I'd say someone's got their hands down our pants and we aren't feeling keen on it.

Give it two days and we'll discuss this further.

This is true. Given the partisan nature of the trial, I expect this is just a showcase for the Dems to say "OK, here's what you really need to vote for in November.

No one expects the GOP to vote to convict. This has always been about showing just how partisan the GOP is and how dangerous that level of partisanship is to our government.
Unfortunatly the GOP's argument is that the Democrats are the partisan ones for pointing out the GOP's partisanship. Hm, that argument sounds familiar...

I worry for the future of American politics if the Republicans permit Trump to get away with his behavior. I also worry for the future of American politics if they don't vote to convict, get their names put down on paper legitimizing his behavior, get predictably vilified by the non-Republicans, and live a life of overt anger and shame resulting in even more caustic policy decisions.

Jay seckulo is all over the place. He’s also taking quotes grossly out of context.

You’ll note that he isn’t even bothering to attempt to defend trumps actions.
