While we await the Senate trial, it’s great that public interest groups filling FOIA requests are getting new evidence supporting the impeachment.

Any doubts about whether the July 25 call with Zelensky was linked to freezing the Ukraine aid can now be put to rest.

A July 25 email to the Pentagon from the same official shows how sensitive the issue was and how eager the Trump administration was to hide it from others. The email includes a written instruction that the Pentagon “please hold off on” distribution of the funds and says that “given the sensitive nature of the request” the information should be “closely held.” It went out 91 minutes after the end of the now-infamous call between Trump and Ukraine’s prime minister, Vlodymyr Zelensky, timing that may have been coincidental given that the aid was held up by Trump earlier that month.

If Democrat donors really wanted Dems to win they would be flooding all forms of media with information like this. Running ads about this stuff 24/7 on Fox News, etc.

According to Forensic News, Trump’s loans from Deutsche Bank were underwritten by a Russian state-owned bank. That news reportedly comes from a whistleblower with access to documents from both Deutsche Bank and Russia’s state-owned VTB Bank. VTB Bank was also the proposed lender on the never-completed Trump Tower Moscow project.

nothing to see here, what's happening elsewhere?

I thought we already knew this about the DB loans? Didn’t that news come out months ago?

Edit: I remember Lawrence O’Donnell eating crow about this and right wingers asking for his scalp.

I wasn't aware that the loans where underwritten by the Russian state bank, that part's new isn't it?

Also, in completely unrelated news, the FBI has raided the homes and offices of lobbyist Michael Esposito, who coincidentally has deep ties to Trump.

Not so coincidentally, The whole Trump camp claims to not know the guy. Funny that.

The NYT doesn't think much of the fellow making the claim that Russia backed the loans. Be interesting to see how this one pans out.

Obviously people know Deutsche Bank was fined over half a billion dollars for failing to prevent money laundering in the United States and United Kingdom. The New York Times reported that Deutsche Bank also made substantial loans to President Trump when other banks were unwilling to do so. The loans weren’t typical business investments, but rather a mysterious extended line of credit that ran to the tune of $2.5 billion. Trump’s history with Deutsche Bank further complicates the relationship. After failing to pay off loans and countersuing Deutsche Bank for $1 billion (and then losing), Trump went back to Deutsche to ask it for an unimaginable favor: he wanted the Deutsche private banking division to pay off his outstanding loan to the Deutsche real estate division. Even more astonishing is that the bank agreed to do it, a move experienced bankers and financial experts characterized as “unheard of.” The same private banking division that issued this suspicious loan also managed finances for Jared Kushner and Jeffrey Epstein. Allegedly, multiple Deutsche Bank employees flagged Trump, Kushner and Epstein’s transactions for money laundering concerns but were ignored or quieted by senior executives.

Obviously the House committee knew this. They quickly issued subpoenas for Deutsche Bank’s records concerning Trump and his family. President Trump, the Trump Organization, and his family members petitioned a federal court in New York to quash the subpoenas. Hmmm...I wonder why?!

John Bolton has said that, if subpoenaed, he will testify in a Senate impeachment trial.

Now is the time for the House Intelligence Committee to send him a subpoena. If he'll testify to the Senate, why not to the House? He'll face the same questions in either venue.

Unfortunately I don't believe the House will or if it does he won't testify.

Only you expect the Russian money connections to turn out differently then the rest of the revealed connections.

I doubt Schiff will pass up the opportunity to call Bolton's bullshit. Subpoena? Here it is. Every word will be faithfully transcribed & forwarded to the Senate.

I don't think Bolton wants to testify before a committee not controlled by the Republican Party.

Or... Bolton's trying to spook Trump to make sure he follows through on the whole war with Iran thing.

Bolton is such a coward. "I'll do the right thing if you force me to".
