It takes no more than 15 seconds to properly wash your hands. You should wash them anytime you've been outside, handled money or gone to the washroom.

It's one of the easiest ways to help keep you from getting sick.

I walked from my apartment to my car, then from my car to my office this morning. I guess I need to wash my hands now, because all that outdoor air has poisoned me.

If you wash your hands in 15 seconds, you aren't washing them properly anyway.

...and, by the way, what is everyone's fascination with how "dirty" money is?? I originally thought it was just my grandmother's paranoia, but I seem to hear about it all the time.

I generally was my hands after I use the restroom. Other than that I don't, unless they get visibly dirty.

Yes, the doorknob is full of germs. You've never had a cling-on that hit your hand as you went to wipe? It didn't happen to me, but it did happen to a friend of mine. I swear, it wasn't me.

PSA for all cleanfreaks out there:

If you isolate yourself from the environment we live in your imune system will not adjust to changing conditions and you will get more susceptible to diseases.

Is that justification for not washing your hands after going to the bathroom

And you're not supposed to always use anti-bacterial soap. Just regular sometimes. And warm to hot water, not cold.

I guess you could say I was once a professional hand-washer.
