I just read that the xbone is 500 bucks. They should really pay me 500 bucks if microsoft wants to Xbone me that bad.

you forgot the $50 for xbone live subscription. so really the boning never ends.

OK, lemme ask you guys this, do you call the 360 the "XB360"?

It's no wonder the general public and media thinks of gamers as rude, immature and unsophisticated adult-children.

Except calling it "one" would make no sense as that is already a word meaning plenty of basic things.

The "360" didn't

Thus we have to call it Xbox one somewhere in there. Now basic quick naming rules say at least 1 letter of each word, then the defining word of what you are abbreviating. Which in this case is one.

XBone. Fits perfectly, is a decent nickname (only thing it has going for it compared to the competition now) and if your upset? No one cares Microsoft set it up to be nicknamed like that. They could have chosen many different names.

I automatically think of the original Xbox each and every time someone says "Xbox One". For that reason, I'll refer to it as "XBone" to avoid confusion.

the xbone is a punt. ms has different priorities, gaming isnt top of the list. they knew they were going to lose to PS so they made something good enough and tried to focus on building an ecosystem to lock people into.

the name tries to connote that all you need is the 'one' device, too bad they are screwed when they need a new version in 3 years to deal with 4k tv's. what are they going to call it then? xb one plus, xb one more, xb one more time?
