PSA: Please put PDF in parantheses (ex. cookie.pdf (PDF) when you post a link to a Adobe Acrobat Document. Thank you.

yeah it really sucks when clicking on a pdf link unsuspectingly. even using the speed-up tweaks it's still slow (no my computer is not slow)

OR if you're using FireFox, there's a great extension that'll tell you next to each link if it's a new window, office document, or a pdf file. Good stuff!

Lemme find the page.

EDIT: Found IT!!!!!

Yeah the most annoying fact is that it takes up 30mb of ram and then doesn't go away when you're done looking at the document

I always look at the status bar to see what file it is BEFORE downloading something.

Just a little tip for using the internet safely.

You just need to launch the reader and then exit and it closes properly.

Of course you can also just disable the browser plugin from the settings and just download the pdf like any other file.....and then open it in the full reader.

Yeah, I know. I love it!!! Small little icons next to the links, nothing that takes away from viewing pages normally.

That's cool. But who doesn't look at the URL before they click a link anyway? At least on a message board...

Probably not useful on a message board, but otherwise sometimes you just go click-click-click and just assume that it's a HTML page 🙂

Adobe Acrobat READER has the ability to disable the browser plugin. It has had this feature since version 4 and now it's version 7 beta is out.
