So are the Gourds and Dynamite Hack the same band? I have the MP3 and it is labeled Dynamite Hack as the artist. But i'm sure it's been covered by others though...

Dynamite Hack doesn't sound like a bluegrass band.
If you want to find out, I guess you can d/l the mislabed Phish mp3 and compare it to the one you have labeled with Dynamite Hack as the artist.

They do on this track. The song is recorded in a slow country drawl. Not bluegrass per say, but definitely country music like.

It could be mislabeled as Dynamite Hack since they do another cover of a Dr. Dre song. The song you are describing definitely sounds like The Gourds version.
Here's another link.

Actually Boyz N the Hood is an Eazy E song, so that article is incorrect. But it could be labeled incorrectly too.
Yeah, that's true. I remember the remixes from the Eazy E albums...Originally posted by: chuckywang

Apparently, it's NWA., which includes both Eazy E and Dr. Dre. But I don't know much about rap.
