This just in - the word "peak" is not the same fucking thing as the word "peek" or "pique", nor can it be used as a substitute for "peek", nor "pique".

2 : to take a brief look : glance
Pique
Function: transitive verb
1 : to arouse anger or resentment in : irritate <what piques linguistic conservatives ? T. H. Middleton>
2 a : to excite or arouse especially by a provocation, challenge, or rebuff <sly remarks to pique their curiosity> b : pride <he piques himself on his skill as a cook>
You do not "peak" over a box to take a look, unless you are having sex under that box and happen to be at the climax of an orgasm. You do not "peak" at a hot chick across the street. You do not get to "peak" at benchmarks of future hardware. You do not go to the "pique" or "peek" of a mountain. Something does not "peak" or "peek" your interest.
That is all
