I went ahead and ordered a Boxwave screen protector for my Toshibe e740 after being dissatisfied with the Fellowes screen protectors I had previously used. All I can say is "WOW" what a difference. I've been using the screen protector for over a month now and I must say it was well worth the $13 + shipping, as a matter a fact it's still as good as new!

Here's a link to Boxwave's ClearTouch page Awesome PDA screen protectors, accept no substitutes

I've used the G2 screensavers in the past with my 3650. Then with my 38xx and my current 1910, i haven't bothered. Even after a full year of use without a case or any screen protectors, and in my pockets bare all the time, i've only got a single scratch on it, and it's only 1/4 of an inch, and not noticable unless you tip it on an angle.

I find screen protectors reduce clarity and the written recognition on the screen.

To be perfectly honest, the boxwave's feel is great (better than directly on screen) and written recognition hasn't been a problem. I will admit that you lose a bit of clarity, the difference doesn't bother me enough to warrant removing the screen protector. Also, the boxwave has an anti-glare texture that works very well.

As far as scratches go, I plan on keeping this PDA for a couple of years so I really want to avoid scratching it if at all possible :)

I have to say I prefer G2 as well. It's not of the sticky variety as Boxwave appears to be from it's website. After 6-7 changes my old PDA started getting a gummy screen from those damn sticky protectors. Also G2 specifically does not have anti-glare, since anti-glare is basically scattering light and therefore hurts clarity/contrast.

I haven't used the G2 screen protectors so I can't comment on them. I bought the boxwave after reading the brighthand review of several screen protectors in which the Boxwave ones were the only ones to get an "A".

As for the gummy residue, boxwave suposedly uses a silicon-based adhesive that doesn't leave any residue. I haven't had to remove mine for cleaning yet (they are reusable) so I can't confirm this, though.
