Yelp has problems of its own.

Generally speaking, less anonymity on the internet is probably a good thing. There was actually a study done that found that large numbers of reviews, both positive and negative, came from people who had neither seen nor used the product. Sometimes they were people paid paltry wages to write reviews in developing countries, sometimes they were just people with nothing better to do.

Product reviews on Newegg were already done with tags that said something like "Verified owner", I am assuming because that user bought the item from Newegg. The issue you brought up was already moot, in this case. One could ignore anybody who was not a verified owner.

The term originates from Yiddish sarcasm. Imagine Dr Zoidberg's uncle from Futurama saying, "Sure I could care less... if I was dead"

I highly doubt nwo was using it sarcastically. Most of the time when people say "could care less" it's just a simple error. Either way, sarcasm doesn't transmit in text that well so it's simpler to just interpret it as a mistake.
