so i just mixed jack daniels and diet coke, because we didnt have any regular coke, and its horrible. what a waste of whiskey.

Do you like straight DC? I can't stand sugar Coke anymore, even in drinks. DC in drinks is just fine, but then I drink DC all the time.

 

It's an insult to JD to mix it with anything.

now dr pepper and jack daniels isnt bad either.

try mixing 1 1/2oz of jack daniels, a splash of coke, and about 1/2oz of kahlua to get a different taste.

It is pretty good straight, I took it to a movie on campus once. Only bad is that my friends could smell it as soon as I took the cap off the bottle. 😱

We have a grocery store here that has their version of Dr Pepper except they call it Dr Smooth. When we use Dr Smooth instead of Cola to make Rum and Cokes around the house, we refer to them as "Rum Smoothies".

Bah, JD comes pre-mixed with even more water now. I've been boycotting it due to that. Besides, there are many better bourbons out there. I really like Knob Creek.

I switched to diet on purpose. The removal of the sugar left my belly feeling better at the end of the night. Just didn't have as queasy of a stomach once all of that high fructose corn syrup was left out.
