I have Nero installed, and the port forwarded and it still won't let me see the device. Ugh, starting to get annoyed.

I am having a ridiculous number of problems with Nero 8 transcoding to the point where I am pretty much giving up.
1. Nero Scout is terrible. Whenever I add a new file to shared directory that it indexes, the 360 either doesn't see that file even though it is indexed or it stops seeing everything in the folder entirely. The only way I have ever been able to fix this is to completely uninstall Nero 8, make a new folder and move all of my media into that folder, reinstall nero, select the new folder as a Nero Scout shared folder, and rerun the index. Even that isn't full proof.
2. I keep getting more and more errors where the 360 gives me a message stating that it is dropping the network connection because I am trying to play an unsupported format or something like that. This happens after about 30 seconds from when I hit "Play". This happened even more after I installed the latest Nvidia Video Driver.
3. The quality could use some improvement, but if I could get the above two issues fixed then I can deal with it.
Does anyone know how to reset the Nero Scout database so I can run a fresh index? My way of "tricking" by doing the uninstall/reinstall plus new directory sucks.

You guys realize that's all unnesessary now right? Since the last Xbox 360 update, and PS3 update for that matter, you can play pretty much any Xvid or divx files on them.
Burn a data DVD, put it in the tray and watch yer stuff. Or just hook up your computer through your network (if you're on one with a router or something), set up windows media player to allow the xbox and/or PS3 to see your hard drive, and you're set. No more transcoding, or trying to trick the 360 into reading files.
Live in the now. The glorious now.
