For the longest time, I've had to slam my mouse into the cradle repeatedly to get it to charge. I've actaully scraped the contacts with a knife before and the situation improved temporarily.

~Two days ago, I cleaned the contacts with alcohol + a q-tip (both the contacts on the mouse AND on the charger), and thus far, no problem charging -- it's like new.

Now, this is REALLY obvious, and I just haven't gotten around to it. So an FYI to those who have had the same problem and procrastinated, clean your contacts! It's worth the 30 seconds of your time.

i have an mx1000. and now that i think about it, last nighit before i went to bed the battery was like 2/3 full, and i usually charge it then. it better be working when i get home so i can play CS

havent had problems charging it though.

Yep, I noticed that too with my mx700, tried cleaning the contacts and it fixed the problem. So now it's habit for me to wipe the contacts quickly with my thumb at the end of the day, before I put my mx700 to charge.

I usually try to wipe them off with some piece of cloth before I put it in the charger... usually my shirt or something. I cleaned it with rubbing alcohol... I was back to having to wipe it off every time, less than a week later.

Anyone have the MX3100 (the mx1000 mouse and some keyboard) I heard that the keyboard is a piece of crap. Anyone? Bueler? Anyone?

I just use my thumb because it's easier. I am lazy.

well it IS logitech so i bet it is pretty good...

Mine gets dirty as hell, but I've never had that problem.

It looks abused, but it's been going strong for over 2.5 years now. I'll upgrade to the MX1000 when this one dies...

Good morning Nik. Good to see you're on the ball today.

FYI, I put this here so that people who Don't frequent periphs might see it.

Some people only visit Hot Deals, so you should probably put it in there too, just to be super duper extra helpful.

I for one appreciate what So has posted. i never visit peripherals. Freaking nik is an a$$ to just about everyone, even the ones trying to be helpful.

Same problem here, this didn't help me.

The only way I can get it to charge is to twist the mouse in from the left.
