Starting in late September, the government will reopen its Covidtests.gov website. Each household can order up to four free at-home tests.

Also free Paxlovid through the end of the year to people who test positive for Covid-19 and who are uninsured or who are on Medicare or Medicaid.

Check the production codes online, some have had their shelf life extended. I will order more tests, I heard that dipping the swab in the sweat of a Mongolian monks ballsack results in a positive result and that can get me out of work for a day or two.

It's active now. But expect short expiration dates. The HHS link I found them through said they should be good through the end of the year. It's just what is left of the old stock on hand.

Not anymore. If you check the updated exp. dates, none of them go past August 2024. That was all done last year.

Got mine today. I was wrong, they do have an extended expiration date of 11-16-2024. Not even good until the end of the year. Some Korean off brand called OHC.

Mine came today and they are the same brand. They have an expiration of 12/30/23 but I haven't looked up the new expiration date yet.

Spread the word…especially to the older family members…there’s a scam going on in which “Medicare” calls and offers free test kits…but all they really want in the Social Security number, Medicare number, and name of the person.

My wife remembered that our insurance covers tests until Sept 30, 2024. We had ordered some in June (4 boxes), but they expired 9/6/2024. Apparently no one buys them, so the stock gets old.

We ordered some more last weekend. We go to different pharmacies, hers are good until 9/16/2025. I got mine at Walgreens, good until 5/18/2026. Both Binax brand. First time we have ever got tests good for more than 3 months. They have a 22 month shelf life, so mine are a couple months old, hers are 10 months old.

Both got our shots as well Tuesday.
