That is all, thank you. :)

Nappy isn't local, it's used in England as well.

shut up or somebody will whack you witha spanner.

The world doesn't revolve around the US. We have many words other countries don't recognize either.

Try figuring out definitions through context. That's what I did (I made the nappy man post)

Who ever said it was limited to the US? Everyone should explain their local slang. US citizens should explain thier local slang. Austrailians should. Icelanders should. Everyone should.

Exactly. The examples are non-US slang I didn't understand, because I'm from the US. I'm sure there is local slang I use that they wouldn't understand, but to start a thread on that is pointless.

Nappy is the proper term for a certain kind of dress worn only by the Queen.

See, the problem is, all American slang is intelligible to the British, in my experience, but very little British slang is intelligible to Americans. Like, who besides a Brit would know that "plaster" means the buttocks?

I suggest that all Americans start using a mixture of Ebonics, Hawaiian and Yiddish slang to maintain mutual unintelligibility with the subjects of the Commonwealth.

Haoles ain't understand bupkis we say, those farkakte honkies.
