CONSUMER NEWS ? Kraft Foods Inc. has recalled about 1,000 packages of Oscar Mayer Lunchables because of mislabeling.
The ready-to-eat meals were labeled as containing a fruit roll but instead contained a Butterfinger candy bar, a snack made with peanuts.

Consumers with other food safety questions phone the U.S.D.A. Meat and Poultry Hotline at 888-674-6854

A butterfinger instead of a fruit roll-up? At least it's nothing hazardous.

It's definitely hazardous if you're allergic to peanuts.

This isn't really a huge thing. 1000 packages is more than likely just a small production run to them.

i meant it in that it was a simple mistake, one that could have [should have] been prevented, of course i dont know the full details of the work logs etc of that batch number for those meals.

well if you see a butter finger and know you're allergic and still eat it, its not their fault, its obviously not a fruit roll up. Someone is going to sue, just wait.

How many 6-8 year olds do you know who are going to stop to think if they should eat the butterfinger even if they know they're allergic?

it's not like the candy itself is mislabled, if you have a food allergy and you don't know what to look for you deserve what's coming to you.
