Oh, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the triple tap. It's just amusing because one of the complaints I hear about the first one is that it's constant head shots the whole time. So, it makes me wonder if they took that into account for this movie.
this movie he's doing triple taps? why?
waste of bullets, especially since he was efficient at head shots in 1st movie.

Damn.... It made $30 million domestic in the opening weekend. First movie only made $40 million total domestic through its entire run.

It got smoked by Fifty Shades Darker though, at almost $47 million this weekend.
This was expected, but it still boggles the mind.

Meanwhile, here are the ratings:

Fifty Shades Darker: 11 positive out of 119 ratings at RT (9% positive)
John Wick: Chapter 2: 11 negative out of 115 ratings at RT (90 positive)

I watched JW 1 Saturday evening and then reserved a couple seats at the 10 pm showing for my 16 year old and I for JW 2. Good movie. Much of the same as the first, but it was good. Not great, but entertaining and I didn't fall asleep which is saying something since I had been up working since 6 am.

I watched it last night. It's still a pity that they only vaguely show the world these guys live in. I'd love to learn more on how it all clicks together. I have to wonder though after the ending if we'll see that. The only thing I really thought was stupid (and in this movie it's saying something) is the plot armor by way of the special fabric. I get they had to do something to avoid him dying in some of those scenes but it just was a bit too much. Otherwise, the movie was what I thought it would be, over the top stupidity that looks cool.

You mean after the credits? If you're wondering if there's an after credits scene, there isn't one. I stayed until the blue screen just to see.

Kinda depressing. Means either critics are completely out of touch with what people 'want' to watch (at least prior to knowing the content), or that quality has absolutely no bearing on financial draw.

Not that it's a surprise to anyone, it just stinks when you see it so blatantly.

I was making comment on the fact he was now outcasted from that group and was on the run. Im' guessing that means sadly we won't see too much on how that world works.

Saw this one earlier today. If you like JW, then you like this one. The only thing that I did not like was some of the hitmen/bodyguards were too clumsy and stupid. If you have JW outnumbered, not need to rush in that way so he could take you one on one/two, just set up a trap to flush him out.

Love the reference to The Matrix (operator, headset, the train station) and other characters in the film (LOVE the front desk clerk guy of the Continental in NY).

Can't wait for JW3, this time in Asia?

I feel like the first 10 minutes of the movie could have been avoided if John just asked on the phone whether it was cool for him to stop by for the car.

Nah 50 Shades does still really suck with people too. It cause Valentines day and people also like sex.

Hopefully it's better than the first one. :\

I liked the first one. Sure, mindless violence...but that's why I watched it. I LIKE mindless violence...if it's done right...and this was fairly well done. It's one of the movies in my DVR that I might watch in the middle of the night when my back won't let me sleep.

Not so crazy about the second one. Too many parts of it just seemed...forced. IMO, Keanu is...OK. Sometimes he sounds like he's just reading his lines...other times he does OK.

John Wick 3 release date is posted - An official release date for John Wick: Chapter Three has been announced, and it shows that the studio has faith in the little franchise that could. Chapter Three will be hitting theaters on May 17, 2019,

Damn, May 17th. It tells you something about a studio's confidence in a project when they're willing to let it stand side by side with the biggest releases all year. Movies get sent out to die in January, but by May the competition is cut throat!

The thing about the first one that was cool was that it was somewhat grounded in reality. The second one went way over the top where everyone in New York was apparently an assassin.

Well...if you look at "the hotel," it appears everyone in New York IS an assassin...
