PSA: Is your eye Pink?

About 1.5 weeks ago after mowing my lawn, my contact started bothering me, so I decided to let my eyes rest for a few days by not wearing my contacts. My eye was a little bloodshot, but I didnt have any negative effects other than the color (no pain, watering, itching, etc). nothing to be worried about, or so I thought.

Welp, today finally I decided, this is too much... my eye is getting worse redder and redder, and now it feels like there's something in it, time to see the doc...

Got an appoitment for early this morning... apparently the slight irritation while wearing my contacts was actually early pink eye... and it got worse over the 1.5 weeks to the point where it ate three holes in my cornea.

Now I've gotta put this ointment in my eye at night, as well as drops 4x a day, not to mention my vision is a bit blurry because doc decided to dilate the eye... I look like a cartoon... One eye is red witha big pupil... the other is white with a small pupil.

i had an ulcerated cornia and had to take drops 4x a day aswell. I hate it when they dilate my eyes It sucks

Corneal ulcers are not something to fvck around with.

Red + painful = get your ass to an opthalmologist ASAP.

Luckily corneas are pretty durable, with antibiotics you should be fine.

Strange thing is, it's not even painful right now... and hasnt been... just irritated. Doc says I've got nothing to worry about and that I came in at a good time, although he would have liked me to get there earlier.

I got that sh1t a few years ago. Had to get drops that widened my pupil. Blurry vision and sunglasses for a week or so.

I remember I had pink eye in 7th grade, and I had no idea what it was.

Everyone in class was like, "dude, go home, you got pink eye."

Yeah, my right eye was red and a little bothersome, but I didn't know of this disease, so I thought they were pullin' a fast one on me. I was like, "haha, nice try guys."

Then one of the teachers saw my eye, and said, "Your eye doin ok?"

I was like..., "yeah... i guess."

"Maybe you should see the nurse, you might have pink eye."

AND THEN AT THAT POINT, I THOUGHT THE TEACHER WAS IN ON THE PRANK. :laugh:
Nurse confirmed it, and told me to call my dad...

at that point I was just like... :Q(<<< With the right eye slighty pink )
And then before I knew it, an hour later, my dad was picking me up for school.

before i met my wife she had a terrible case of pink-eye
her parents are suck, and didnt take her to the doctor for it until it was a bit late; even after that her eye was swelled shut for days; her iris is splotchy now
