SourceAUSTIN, Tex.On Monday evening at the hip SXSW festival, Microsoft announced the availability of its new Web browser, Internet Explorer 9. Presiding at the launch was Corporate Vice President of Internet Explorer Dean Hachamovitch, who, in a reference to the software's use of hardware acceleration on Windows 7 and Vista said, "Our approach was to tap into the PC's power the way it hasn't been before." Hachamovitch also highlighted the browser's new trimmed-down look, "The browser should be a stage, a backdrop. We asked, how can IE make sites shine. This informed everything we did."
Internet Explorer 9 is available only on PCs running Windows.

one of these days i'm going to actually go to sxsw
been here in austin for 3 years now, it's about time
Who spends all day on first. Why should he care if IE9 was released?Who cares.
It can be changed rather easily.is it supposed to be blank?
ms needs to give up on browsers. IE9 is terrible. Tabs to the right of the address bar is flat out retarded.
Only reason I cling onto ff is the ad blocker.
IE9 is actually pretty good. I've only been using it for a day and a half but it's looking to be my daily driver, I really like it.
