PSA: If you go to a Middle School or HS concert during the holidays...

And you notice a piece called "The Shining City" on the program, just kill yourself then & there.

It's a compilation of Ronald Reagan's speeches set to music & it's 25 minutes long.

I dozed off, & I love concerts.

25 ? are you exagerating? how could a middle school band play something that long?

my daughter brought home the bassoon today. anybody here play a double reed instrument?

nope. im a trumpet player.
wow- set to ronald reagans speeches? it must have been a middle school- no high school band would let their director get away with a stunt like that.

Thanks for the warning! My son's HS concert is coming up soon . . . I've never yet been able to doze off during the things, though.

man, if a highschool band/orchestra can play for 25 minutes to Reagans speech, it must be a pretty talented group...

btw, lincolns' Portrait is hard to play....so freaking high for us violin players.
