I resize almost all my images to 1024x768 or 800x600. No one needs hi-res images of anything i post. If they want it, I email it to them.

Yes, I did. Why not just use a browser (or browser settings) that automatically resize the pics for you.

OH... AND REPOST!!!

Maybe because no one needs a high res copy of your vacation pics.

IMO, you're pushing your luck with people's interest on that subject even before we click on the ginormous images of some building in China.

Either you have me confused with someone else or you're just making an assumption based upon my avatar.

Settle down, Beavis, and read the link in the original thread.

If you're using a free picture hosting site run by one of the members of the forum, do us all a favor and resize.

Otherwise, bring on those tig ol' bitties!

Big pic = pic file = big bandwidth waste.
Why not just upload your picture as a bmp, then you have full quality! Not a single bit of lost detail.

And don't resize to a resolution, that's stupid.
A 1600x1200 res will NOT display a 1600x1200 picture without resizing.
Make it 1024x768, then all sensible people (running 17"+ monitors) cen view it fine without resizing.
And yes, FF does do a crap job of resizing images, just like IE does.

Yes, big pictures should be resized. Browser resized pictures look like crap, and having to scroll through them sucks too.

i like detail too. no reason to cr@p a picture out because a few people can't figure out their browsers can fit to window
