I'll drive as slow as I need to go to feel safe and comfortable with the road conditions.

I live in NH and drive a front wheel drive jetta. I remember during one bad winter storm, we had already received a foot and the snow was still coming down. Plows could not really keep up with the demand. This was that storm when the Massachusetts governor issued an order banning non-essential vehicles from the highways/roads. My company has a contract with Mass DOT and has a special dispensation so my commute was considered essential. Anyway so I'm traveling back home after work and roads are treacherous. I'm doing 20 in the right hand lane and this asshole in a jacked up truck comes up behind me. Starts beeping his horn, flashing his lights and trying to get me to move faster. I put my hazards on in response and motion outside the window for him to pass me. After a few minutes he ends up roaring past me. Poetic justice: I see him up the road spun out and body resting on a snow bank. Tires have no contact with the road and spinning uselessly as he tries to free himself. I waved to him as I puttered by slowly :biggrin:

I find the ones that are going their normal speed on snowy roads are the same ones that are in a ditch 3 miles down the road.

driving in today, wind and snow, roads snow covered, a bit slippery. Car in inside (passing lane) driving 15 mph in a 45mph. All cars had to take the outside (slow) lane to go around. We all were driving 30-35 as conditions were poor.

As I passed the car, I looked over to my left and saw the lady clenching her steering wheel, eyes straight ahead oblivious to anything happening around her and obviously scared to death.

Those are the ones who need to stay off the road.

I have seen so much of that every year since i got my license. It starts every time there is a first significant snow fall.

You would think drivers would drive safely because we are in Canada and it snows.
