That's what's fair. Too many get a paint chip and demand an entire repaint.
My 240SX was true pearl paint. Base/mid/topcoat. They got it very close but you could tell it was off if you knew what the car looked like prior.
Most couldn't tell.
What sucked is they pretty much repainted most of the car, but insurance wouldn't authorize the last 1/4-1/5 of it to be redone. It became too drawn out so I didn't want to fight another month or two while holding up the job.
They wouldn't allow me to pay for the extra work during the process either which pissed me off.
I had already decided to sell it prior to that accident so I was ready to just be done with it.
I had this experience as well. If you are active military/government the experience seems to be different, but almost everyone I know that spoke about Geico mentioned the rates the 2nd year went up enough to consider moving on.
For my fiancee they quoted an unbeatable rate when she moved down here (right under $100 per month, full boat). At renewal they sent a letter than they had the wrong zip code and had to raise her rates to just a bit over $225 per month. The odd part is all the mail/insurance cards/etc had the correct zip code on them.
They said it was 'in the computer' wrong though.
She shopped it and my company (State Farm) had the best rate out of the A rated companies at around $150/month.
